Responsibilities

CHS / Sun Basin-Wheeler Branch has an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Seed & CPP Inventory Specialist to work with our retail sales team, customers, and vendors.

You will:
Customer Service: Direct customer contact, build strong customer relationships; assist with order status, research and resolve all customer questions, complaints and disputes relating to billing. Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner. Must have strong communication skills.

Customer Invoice: Resolve Vendor invoicing issues with billing and/or vendor approve all customer invoices prior to release, manage customer disputes, research and provide solutions to customer issues.

Inventory and order management: data entry of inventory and order entry into Agris systems to manage order fulfillment, utilize vendor websites for ordering and grower licensing, manage customer prepays and vendor prepays, ensure all record keeping is up to date. Learn all seed and CPP products & programs.

Coordinating customer delivery and pick-up, coordinate vendor shipments, resolve shipment disputes, unload and organize seed & CPP shipments

Precision Ag: Run VRT (variable rate technology) maps & recommendations and coordinate, take grid samples. Utilize a personal computer to effectively organize, analyze and manage data (software including spreadsheets, databases, GIS, ect.)

Understand business functions of sales team and assist the team in improving the efficiency and profitability of the location(s) assigned pertaining to Seed, CPP and Precision Ag.

Follow through with sales team, customers, and vendors as it relates to all programs

Ensure that federal and state regulations pertaining to chemical, fertilizer and seed are observed and adhered to.

Basic Qualifications

2 or 4 year degree in Agriculture related field

Must be willing and able to work extended hours in-season

Possess a good mathematical aptitude

Must be able to lift up to 60lbs frequently

Able to drive a forklift

Strong knowledge of farming and/or agriculture

Preferred Qualifications

Agris experience preferred

Agronomy or seed knowledge and experience
