Job Title: Assistant Medical Logistics Coordinator Pay Status: Hourly Report to: Fairweather Medical Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Fairweather Health Team Manager Paramedic Medical Logistics Coordinator (Lead) Summary: Overall coordinator for purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventorying, packaging, and re-supplying of the remote clinics medical supplies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Processing, assembling, troubleshooting, preparing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical equipment and supplies Supervises requisitioning, receipt, inventory management, packing and shipping, disposal of controlled stock, care, segregation, and accounting of medical supplies and equipment Performs quality control Communicate with the shipping and receiving facilities Monitor and maintain the general condition of the storage unit, keep materials clean and stock facility resupply of any deficiencies Responsible for data entry and upkeep of computerized inventory sheet Ensures Instrumentation and Forms are maintained and available for Weather observers with monthly reporting Maintains security and Cleaning of Weapons for Bear Guard Program Assist Range Instructor conducting Weapons Qualifications Course Coordinates Health Fair Logistics support with Medical Administration Manager Shares On Call Rotation for Medical Logistics/Case Managment program Functions as essential Team Member in the planning and execution of Fairweather's training program of PAs and Paramedics Functions as Medical Expeditor to support Medical Program while on call for Medical Logistics /Case Management Program Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of technical names, general uses, physical characteristics, and operating conditions of medical supply items Work well in teams, alone, and in diverse groups of people Effective communication in person, written, and over the phone Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives Understand pre-hospital care Emergency Medical Service equipment Ability to read and follow instructions and schedules Ability to meet and establish good working relationships with people Some computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Word Knowledge of how to operate printers, fax, scanner, phones, and e-mail Minimum Qualifications Current state/national registry Paramedic/EMT III license/certificate One year Emergency Medical Service experience Must be able to pass the Weather Certification test within six months from date of hire. Must maintain weather observer certification. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and balance an adult patient with the assistance of others Ability to run, walk, bend, and crawl on uneven terrain Ability to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture Ability to work in low light and confined spaces Ability to operate a motor vehicle (including ATVs) Working Conditions: May be required to work in remote locations as an independent provider Must be willing to work overtime and be on-call as needed Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed May be required to fly in small aircrafts May be exposed to communicable diseases, mentally unstable, or combative patients May be called upon to work in remote locations as an independent provider when called upon to fill in Disclaimer: The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
