Description/Notes:
Windham School District is the education department for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice whose student population consists of adult offenders.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications for Certified Applicants: Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teacher certification in Trade and Industrial Education with appropriate work approval -OR- a Vocational Trades and Industry with appropriate work approval -OR- any Technology Education, Industrial Technology, or Industrial Arts certificate
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR NON CERTIFIED: High school diploma or GED with 5-years of full-time wage earning experience, within the last 8 years in the Painting and Decorating field or a Bachelor's degree with 3-years of full-time, wage earning experience, within the last 8 years, AND a deficiency plan from a college or university workig towards vocational trade and industry certification. Vocational instructors shall obtain the required industry certification/license before the end of the contract year in which the teacher is first employed in order to maintain employment with the District.
Salary Range:
Salary range is at or above the minimum state teacher pay scale.
