Position : Head Brewer
What This Job is All About:
Meadowlark Brewing is seeking a passionate, technically gifted, quality focused, enthusiastic, and qualified head brewer to join our new brewery and brewpub. The head brewer will be responsible for the day to day brewing operations from receipt of raw materials, to combining of recipe ingredients through to cellaring in preparation for pub sales and distribution. New recipes centered on creativity and focused to produce the best possible consistency of taste and experience for our drinkers will need to be developed. We seek an accountable, reliable person who is adverse to cutting corners and takes immense pride in the work they produce. This position will not be for the faint of heart and will require you to enjoy your job and have fun doing it. You must be able to closely adhere to procedures and guidelines, including following recipes per exact specification and implementing detailed cleaning regimens. A Labour of Love with Requirements:
The successful candidate for this role will have formal training at an accredited brewing school or Associates degree in an applicable science with 2 years of brewing experience. Head Brewer will operate brew equipment to maintain acceptable inventory of raw materials and beer, maintain cleanliness & sanitation of all equipment, tanks and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality, record BATF and brew sheet paperwork. Must be able to lift 55 pounds, twist/turn, reach over shoulders, moonwalk, bend/stoop, stand/walk on a continual basis and calculate the required operating speed for a DeLorean DMC-12 to activate the flux capacitor. Applicant will also be required to assist in sales in the pub and interact with customers to promote our beer and the craft beer industry.
