The Senior Production Underwriter reviews Program accounts to determine acceptability within company underwriting authority.
Completes underwriting and pricing of commercial accounts; negotiates pricing.
Serves as primary contact for agents and brokers in servicing their renewal accounts and developing new business opportunities. The Senior Production Underwriter is responsible for managing an assigned territory and book of business for a particular niche industry program.
The Senior Production Underwriter will be assigned the larger, more complex accounts for the Program.
Four year college degree and five to seven years of commercial underwriting or equivalent experience.
Professional designation as Associate Underwriter (AU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or CPCU obtained or in process with a goal to complete.
Good oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with seasonal volume.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
Must possess a strong customer service commitment.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Prior experience underwriting Program business a plus.
