Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, and using enterprise monitoring tools, assists in the supervision of Spectrum Health multi-technology computing platform-based services, including mid-range, mainframe, Intel servers, storage systems, backup systems, data networking and telephony. Ensures a stable operating environment through the use of physical and logical access controls as well as change event correlation. Initiates service exception processes that include indentifying, alerting, investigating, resolving and notifying, based upon service, physical or environmental component. Assists in Production work, schedules batch jobs and participates in disaster recovery processes, as needed. Following predefined processes, executes Production changes. Consistently demonstrates customer service excellence in all situations. Competent to work on most phases of network and system operations, but may require instruction and guidance from others.


Basic Qualifications:
Education - Associate's Degree in or equivalent education or experience ,Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent experience and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of these specialties: CIS, MIS, IS, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems preferred.
Experience - 2 years of experience in information systems, including: complex, multi platform environments; routing and troubleshooting; TCP/IP, LANS, WANS and networking equipment; System Management applications for Networks, systems and applications; Windows, Novel, UNIX and OS/390 operating systems.
