The Measurement Systems Engineering organization is seeking a creative, highly motivated, ¿hands-on¿ Instrumentation Engineer to support Engine assembly and test. Candidate will be responsible for engineering support of blade clearance measurement techniques and laser-optics systems (NSMS: Non-Interference Stress Measurement System). They will work closely with Project, Planning, Structures, Performance, Design and Test engineers to ensure that test program objectives are met in a cost effective and timely manor. Candidate will be responsible for sensor or probe installation, calibration, equipment operation, and accurate data acquisition during the test phase.

BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with emphasis on Measurement/Instrumentation and/or Systems Engineering is required.
10+ years of mechanical or electrical engineering experience in the development of gas turbine engines with exposure to instrumentation and electronics is required.
Experience with validation programs, engine assembly and data acquisition systems is preferred.

Candidate will work out of our Middletown, CT facility.
The primary assignment is first shift, however, flexibility in shift coverage and overtime may be required.
Occasional travel for test readiness and support to East Hartford, West Palm Beach, P&W Canada, or other engine/rig test sites is expected.
