Qualifications: / Duties
Texas Health Dallas, a Magnet facility, has a new full time opportunity for an experienced Nursing Supervisor in the Postpartum department. Qualified candidates will possess the following:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program - a minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing.
Three (3) years current RN experience - as a staff nurse in a Women's Services acute care setting.
Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Texas.
BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers and NRP certifications.
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Charge RN experience and/or leadership responsibilities.
Basic computer skills - use EPIC/Care Connect, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
More than three (3) years Postpartum RN experience preferred.
Felxibility with schedule
DUTIES:
Practices within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Serves as a role mode, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care.
Possesses organizational skills to direct and manage care on a nursing unit for an individual shift.
Assists Nurse Manager with recruiting and interviewing potential staff.
Participates in coaching and counseling and the Progressive disciplinary action process with the Nurse Manager and staff.
Facilitates patient nurse assignments and provides coordination of patient care on nursing unit.
Participates in monitoring the budget and productivity as directed by the Nurse Manager.
Reviews nursing documentation.
HOURS: Full-time: 40 hours/week: 6:45AM-7:15PM, (3) 12-hour shifts/week plus (1) 4-hour shift including some weekends and holidays
