Department: Marketing at Riverwind CasinoGeneral Definition: Ensures planned gaming revenue is achieved through leadership and management of sub-departments and employees within the Marketing department. Manage the service relationship with existing and potential patrons, and vendors. Provides marketing expertise in the development and implementation of marketing programs. Develops and executes a strategic marketing plan. Ensures department objectives align with the CNDC and facility objectives. Essential Job Functions: Each employee is required to support the mission of the Chickasaw Nation upon becoming a member of the Chickasaw Nation team. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to support a strategy based on data-driven analysis of the various guest segments. Develop and execute financial and business operating plans consistent with the overall strategic positioning of the facility through analysis of current promotional events occurring at the facility level and based on other marketing metrics. Provide marketing expertise in the development, implementation and growth of all marketing programs at a facility level including but not limited to promotions, player development, players club, and corporate accounts in conjunction with Chief Marketing Manager and/or General Manager. Manage Marketing budget by tracking departmental expenses, program growth and profits to ensure facility revenues are being expended in an effective and efficient manner. Manage all managers in the Marketing sub-departments' including but not limited to employees job functions, development, and job performance, employee scheduling, tracking of employee IDP goals, training, annual evaluation, development, and performance management. Forecast future staffing and budgeting needs of the department based on facility revenue income, economic trends, and growth in the marketplace. Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations through the continuous assessment of procedures, work processes and program effectiveness/value. Recommend, develop and implement new programs and promotional activities that will stimulate growth and increase patron loyalty. Develop and analyze key metrics to ensure marketing events are meeting expectations and that the overall effect of the marketing event on facility profit is measurable. Promote a culture of analytical rigor and use data to support decisions. Determine, develop and promote a strategic brand image for the facility and ensure that all marketing activity is in alignment with that brand image. Determine procedures regarding patron comps and establishing pricing structure for amenities; including but not limited to direct billing accounts and procedures in compliance with MICs and TICs regulations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies. Outstanding organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Must possess demonstrated critical thinking skills. Be able to analyze information, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and recognize alternatives and their implications. Must be able to build, maintain relationships, and work closely with other internal departments that have a role in the Marketing department. Must be a proven database marketer with demonstrated success in previous work history. Ability to stay abreast of outside competitors marketing programs to determine value in the market place. Must be able to work in fast paced, smoke filled casino environment. Must be able to work alternative shifts, weekend and holidays. Must be a team player with strong analytical, communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time in order to properly perform the assigned job duties. Understanding of MICs & TICs is preferred, but not required.Training and Experience: Seven (7) to ten (10) years of marketing/promotional experience required. Five (5) to seven (7) years managing a progressive marketing department in a large gaming facility required. Completion of appropriate Mission:I:Lead level strongly preferred. Current or past participation in the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce Fast Track Leadership Training Program may be substituted for any of the above listed experience at the discretion of the Chief Operation Officer and approved by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Governor. Licenses/Certifications/Other: Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations. Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
