Position Summary: The Retail Loan Assistant 2 is responsible for all processing steps from origination through closing, and the generation of initial and closing documents. This position is responsible for a pipeline that includes a variety of real estate secured loan types (Construction, First Lien Mortgage, Subordinate Financing, Home Equity etc.) for properties located across the state of Nebraska.
Essential Functions :
Processes and close real estate secured loans serviced by Union Bank which include a variety of loan types, such as Construction, First Lien Mortgage, Subordinate Financing, Home Equity loans and more, for properties located across the state of Nebraska.
Understand and anticipate all requirements of the real estate loan cycle from beginning to end.
Perform pre-closing reviews to ensure loans meet all bank policy requirements, regulatory compliance guidelines, and customer service standards.
Demonstrate thorough understanding and ability to apply in-depth knowledge of all federal regulations and bank policies/procedures related to real estate lending.
Provide a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
Minimum of 1 year real estate loan processing required.
Minimum of 2 years banking experience preferred.
Well developed ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving skills often when under pressure with deadlines.
Good judgment skills and ability to make decisions within prescribed deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positively promotes the bank’s customer service philosophy.
