Developing web applications in one or more of the following: JSP, Liferay, Jira, Hibernate, Postgres, HTML. Javascript or CSS.
Providing real hands-on experience in the application design, hosting and configuration using Java and J2EE technologies.
Ensuring these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems and DoD architectures.
Ensuring compliance with Secure Technical Implementation Guides.
Providing applications administration assistance when required to establish and configure software development and testing environments.
Interpreting high level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture.
Identifying, assessing, and presenting option for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
Developing software design documents and technology white papers.
Developing high level system design diagrams and for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Instructing, directing, and checking the work of other systems development personnel.
Required Skills

Bachelors Degree preferably in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
A minimum of 3 years of experience developing Java/ J2EE based web applications
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Linux RedHat and VMWare vSphere
Programming experience in other industry-standard technologies like Java
Experience in systems administration and in enterprise architecture.
Experience with the DoD applications environments including architecture
