Job Title: Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Designer
Reports To: Practice Director
Summary of Position: The Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Designer will primarily translate customer business requirements into high quality solution designs for Oracle Utility products.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Understands the product technologies to be used and applies them appropriately.
Using business process engineering techniques, develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing solutions.
Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer's requirements business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization.
Viewed by customers as a consultant and performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.
Works with the Architect and Project Manager to develop a budget for the external design effort.
Assists customers to determine business needs and, where appropriate, promote Five Point's services.
Records and publishes detailed minutes of Discovery and Analysis sessions.
Understands and documents business processes.
Converts a customer requirement into a quality solution.
Utilizes existing resources to produce designs.
Writes pseudocode for complex logic (without writing the detailed code).
Develops detailed, task-orientated estimates to build and implement extensions or interfaces to the system.
Owns the external design and provides support throughout the development and system/integration test phases.
Increases the customers' perception of the value of Five Point services; continuously works to improve customer service relations.
Analyzes software requirements, defines solution parameters and specifications.
Applies professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions in leading edge or critical situations.
Anticipates future customer, industry and information technology trends.
Assesses business and technical impacts of proposed solutions.
The Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Designer will primarily interact with his or her team, Five Point management team, client project team, client management, and various client liaisons.

Experience and Skills
Extensive experience in coding (Java, Cobol, SQL Scripting and CC&B Configuration Tools).
Extensive experience in Technical Design (Familiarity with the different approaches and plug-in points).
Extensive experience in Technical application including comprehensive knowledge of the delivery process (Configuration and code migration, code drops, Fix migration lifecycle).
Experience in External Design and Requirements gathering to assist with the verification of new requirements from existing and new modules.
Knowledge in testing phases and test scripting.
Demonstrated knowledge of the utility business, at least electric or gas, and ideally water.
Experience working with the web and/or other interfaces, preferred.
Able to work independently with very minimal guidance (excluding Business processes and BWS specific requirements.
Relates to client both from business and technical perspective.
Strong analytic and decision-making abilities.
Able to work effectively up to middle management.
Handle multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment with potential conflicting schedules.
Proven ability to execute initiatives successfully and meet deadlines.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering
Licenses / Certifications
IEEE Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA); preferred
Hardware / Software
3 Years experience in Oracle CC&B Utilities
Proficient in CC&B, Java, Cobol, and SQL Scripting
Software Development Lifecycle experience
Oracle Utilities Application Framework; preferred

This position will be located at various Five Point's clients' in the US, primarily Washington State.
