Founded as Mallinckrodt in 1867, the $2 billion Covidien pharmaceutical segment is in the process of spinning off into a separate business. SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Benefits Analyst are to assist the Manager Benefits Strategy & Vendor Management in servicing the needs of non-U.S employee benefit programs and the global mobility/expatriate plan. This position is responsible for tracking and understanding the international programs, overseeing the administration and handling situations and problems that may arise out of use of the Benefits. In addition this position will coordinate relocation and employee transfers and ensure issues and concerns are routed to the appropriate vendors and internal customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers across Mallinckrodt locations across 52 countries located in Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East/Africa, and The Americas. Ability to identify and track all non-U.S. benefit programs and oversee administration Ability to provide direction for international program premium remittance process Ability to execute and analyze relocation needs and coordinate activities with third party vendors Manage the production calendar to ensure all ongoing deliverables are met and executed within agreed upon Service Level Agreements. Execute and own research initiatives and the analysis and resolution of technical issues, resulting from operational control breakdowns, legislative changes, or systems outages. Develop and maintain documentation of process flows, administrative summaries, and standard operating procedures; also identify and assist in the execution of process improvements. Work with other internal and external groups to prepare plans to support technical infrastructure and client reporting. Receive and handle client and internal escalations Develop working relationships with the client, third party vendors and/or ancillary service providers and other internal parties to ensure seamless delivery on specific tasks, special projects and/or participant issues. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :Education:
High School Diploma required.

Experience:
Three to five years of international H/W experience required; in addition, global mobility and expatriate administration experience preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
College degree preferred

Other Skills/Competencies:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft or similar program
Previous experience in an international or consulting role a plus

RELATIONSHIP/SCOPE WITH OTHERS:
This position reports directly to the Manager Benefits Strategy & Vendor Management and interacts with others on the team daily. This position interacts with employees on a regular basis and with other internal and external entities as needed.
