provides administrative and financial support to Fujitsu North American companies. The company is comprised of a Research and Development group plus offers shared services such as treasury, patent support, tax, facilities, employee benefit programs, and other administrative functions. The company also supports Fujitsu Limited, its Japanese parent company, in procurement operations; and provides IT support to National Astronomical Observatory of Japan with the operation of Subaru telescope in Hilo, Hawaii.
We are seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to work in our Benefits Department located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Promptly and accurately responds to escalated benefit issues.
Manage vendors and third party administrators in identifying, planning and developing methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness for the benefit programs.
Manage annual enrollment for active and COBRA population.
Assist in the implementation of internal company migrations and external acquisitions.
Coordinate with internal HRIS teams and payroll teams to ensure systems are functioning accurately and efficiently.
Provide guidance to HR Business partners and other internal team members related to health and welfare benefits.
Suggest and assist in the implementation of plan design and administrative changes.
Coordinate with Legal, Vendors and Consultants in preparing and amending contracts, agreements and summary plan descriptions.
Prepare report and filings required by federal and state agencies.
Coordinate with benefit team to identify benefit's communication needs, develop strategies and evaluate media to meet those needs.
Special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources or related area.
Minimum 10 years of experience in health and welfare.
Must have knowledge and understanding of applicable concepts, practices and procedures within the health and welfare field.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and data transmission.
Experience in managing vendors and third party administrators.
Strong analytical skills required.
Previous work experience in a shared services environment a plus
Proven experience working independently, solving problems and identifying recommended solutions.
Exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
Must have a sense of urgency and customer service responsiveness, with the ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines on projects and request.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast paced, serviced oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Annual Enrollment and web employee self-service applications experience desired.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
