The UK Income Tax Seminar Program of the Agricultural Economics Department is a long-running (46th year) program providing continuing education to over 2,000 professional tax preparation providers. The Coordinator plans and organizes delivery of seminars, and is the first line of contact with participants, instructors, agency partners, vendors, and staff at other Land Grant tax programs. The Coordinator manages the day-to-day operation of the program and assists the Director with a variety of planning and administrative duties.

The UKITSP Coordinator plans and coordinates logistics, registration, and materials development and delivery for 15-25 seminars offered annually at sites across the Commonwealth by two 3-6 person teaching teams. The Coordinator has lead responsibilities for planning the seminars, coordinating and negotiating with agency partners (KY DOR, IRS, KY Farm Business Mgt Program, and the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation (LGUTEF)) and service providers (publishers and conference mangers) in addition to maintaining and monitoring stringent Continuing Education provider compliance with multiple agencies. The UKITSP Coordinator is responsible for receipt, disbursement, and budgeting of all monies (approximately $500,000/yr), promotion of programming through a variety of web and media outlets, and is the primary liaison w/ LGUTEF including participation at up to two national meetings, participation in an active listserve environment, and in periodic conference calls.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strategic vision of the program, tactical management skills, attention to detail, negotiation abilities. Logistics management, professional credibility w/ agencies and universities. Design, layout, and writing; Dreamweaver, Excel; SAP competency; honesty and integrity. Ability to understand and implement CE standards from multiple agencies.

Preferred Education / Experience
MA and 3 years experience in program management, income tax seminar planning and execution, budgeting, and/or internal/external communication.
