The Opportunity

CWFC's PEERLESS INSTRUMENT is searching for a Supervisor for our small Design & Drafting Department. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience providing designs for Printed Wiring Board and Printed Wiring Assembly drawings as well as supervision over a small department. Since 1939 Peerless Instrument has provided state-of-the-art electronic components, systems and software to the US military for mission critical applications. Our historic accomplishments as a supplier to the US military makes us uniquely qualified to aggressively tackle new projects and develop highly engineered solutions to meet our customers' needs and transform their businesses.

Essential Responsibilities

Supervise the department to produce and revise drawings for technical compliance with requirements and satisfaction of project schedules

Coordinate the drawing review and release cycle

Maintain and improve applicable procedures and forms

Maintain records as required by procedures

Provide labor estimates for bidding on proposals

Recommend CAD hardware and software and other tools to maintain and enhance productivity

Make recommendations on staffing requirements to meet department commitments

Provide supervision of the department to include staffing, training and development, and performance

Qualifications/Requirements

10 years electro-mechanical design and drafting experience

Knowledge of ASME drafting standard and Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing

Proficiency in Autocad; proficiency in Pro-E strongly desired

Experience in Printed Wiring Board and Printed Wiring Assembly drawings

Supervisory experience

Associates Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

Must be a US citizen and be able to qualify for a government security clearance

Good communication and organization skills
