Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a sharp, highly-skilled Helpdesk Administrator who will help support the needs of a growing number of data centers and employees.

  • Provide tech support for Linux and Windows users and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor Linux and Windows servers and desktops for any hardware and/or software failures and work to correct those failures
  • Assist in maintaining a global network of over 1800 servers in 35+ locations
  • Install, configure, and support phones
  • Deploy desktops and rack and stack servers
  • Manage inventory
  • Experience with Red Hat/Fedora Linux, Windows (XP, Vista, and 7), and various server and PC hardware
  • Linux command line experience
  • Knowledge of C/Perl/Python/Shell scripting
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Experience with Apache, SQL/MySQL, PHP, and Nagios (preferred)
  • Work experience at a college or university helpdesk (preferred)
  • Experience working at a datacenter (preferred)
  • BS in computer science (preferred)
