The University of Kentucky is looking for an individual to assist in the overall advisement, coordination and management of the Office of Student Involvement. Produce major event programming at the University, working closely with the Student Activities Board, diverse student groups and university departments, including, but not limited to, homecoming, concerts, performing arts, art gallery, lectures, multicultural programs, etc.). Directly responsible for entertainment contract negotiations. Provides guidance and leadership to student organizations for planning and executing campus events encompassing cultural, educational, traditions, entertainment, social, and recreational activities.

Assist Student Activities Board in comprising a comprehensive co-curricular calendar. Responsible for development, management, and presentation of seminars in leadership development, promotion and publicity, event planning, risk management, and personal development for student leaders and advisors. Work closely with student led promotions, publicity, and market research and design teams for primary and continual campus and community programs. Reports to and works closely with the Program Director for Student Engagement and larger staff team dedicated to student engagement.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Ability to plan, organize, and execute special events/projects through working with and advising student led initiatives and student organizations is critical. Related advisory and programming experience in Student Affairs/Student Activities is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are key. Experience with budgeting tracking, assessment, risk management, and/or promotional planning is preferred.

Preferred Education / Experience
A Master's Degree in Student Personnel/Student Affairs/Student Services or related field is required with one year of related work experience in student activities/programming ideally in a higher education setting.
