High School education or equivalent required. Certification as Central Sterile Technician. Minimum 3 years experience as CSP technician. Independent function in performing all of the skills required in CSP.
Comprehensive computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.) Conscientious regards for technical and minute procedures. Ability to communicate both verbally and in written instruction. Ability to learn position duties. Thorough knowledge of nomenclature of items and equipment used in position.
Under the leadership of the CSP supervisor, demonstrates competency in all the department specific responsibilities. Demonstrates leadership qualities by maintaining continuing department-related education and successfully relaying the appropriate education to the department users and staff members.
