Position Description

Enterprise Information Security Communications Manager

Expedia, Inc is looking for an experienced Information Security Communication Manager to become a contributing member of its Enterprise Information Security team. The team is responsible for the security of all Expedia information assets in both our corporate and ecommerce environments.

A strong candidate will have three or more years of experience in leading communications and awareness within information technology, preferable information security industry

The position's main focus is responsible for implementing and managing a robust communications program for Expedia’s Enterprise Information Security group. This role reports to Enterprise Information Security Director of Governance and will be instrumental at maturing the strategic security posture at Expedia, Inc and its affiliated brands.

As the role is heavily reliant on an understanding of information security issues, the candidate will be expected to display a solid grasp of information security concepts and principles. The candidate must work well independently and within a team, have excellent communication skills and experience conducting awareness activities. The ability to communicate complex issues in a simple manner, both written and verbal as well as working independently and as part of a team is required.

As the EIS Communications Manager, you will perform the following functions:

Primary Responsibilities

-Implement EIS communication plan, aligning with program charter, to ensure consistent and accurate information is disseminated according to prescribed calendar.

-Develop and maintain communication methodology for communication across all of technology including, but not limited to:

Communication to the end user

Interdepartmental communication and relationship management protocols

Define proper use of mediums for proper message adoption

-Creation and maintenance of a template library for consistent communications, including, but not limited to:

Event calendars

Email (informational, directive and production support)

Intranet

Presentations (all types)

Newsletters

Posters, fliers and other physical media

-Act as primary SharePoint Administrator/liaison for department, providing site taxonomy and framework as well as aesthetic design detail (but not all content)

Other administrative tasks (permissions, etc.) as necessary

-Communication process definition as it pertains to the above responsibilities

-Develop and implement planned and ad hoc informational and awareness related campaigns

-Dispersing of corporate technology communications to all end users across the company

Secondary Responsibilities

-Develop needed end user surveys to support customer satisfaction mgmt objectives

-Develop corporate imagery for use on all intranet, mail and print collateral

-Create and maintain libraries of current and archived template data

-Create and maintain useful self-help, content and information sites for the end user including form creation and maintenance

-Develop internal and external processes for mediating/mitigating current and potential problems as it relates to the function of the roll-up department

-Create and maintain cross-functional internal processes for new and existing projects, including enhanced methodology information, document toolkits and project site repositories

Qualifications

-Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective communication plan

-Proven track record of project completions, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures.

-Ability to utilize different methods and mediums in delivering course material.

-Skilled with MS Office suite of applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InfoPath, SharePoint.

-Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills required.

-Experience in organizing and writing reports and presentations of a technical nature.

-Proven educational or administrative experience in critical thinking, problem solving and judgment skills.

-Past history of developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with others.

Education/Relevant Experience:

-3+ years of previous communications management experience

-1+ years of project or event management experience

-Graphic artist or UI design experience desirable

-BS or BA with equivalent work experience

-CISSP certification recommended

Successful Completion of a Background and Credit check is required for this opportunity.
