POSITION: Chair, Department of Exercise Science at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning August 2013.

DEPARTMENT OF EXERCISE SCIENCE: The Exercise Science department offers an exercise science major with programs in physical education; health promotion; strength and conditioning; health and exercise science. The department also offers a major in athletic training and is accredited by CAATE; a tenured faculty member in the Exercise Science department serves as director of this program.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in exercise science with a primary focus in health promotion. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience working with undergraduate students in an applied research setting. The role of Department Chair requires academic leadership experience that demonstrates an ability to lead an important College department through a period of dynamic curricular growth and change in collaboration with department colleagues and colleagues across campus.
