Position Title: Banquet Cook-Hagerty Center Supplemental

Reports To : Executive Chef/Sous Chef
FLSA Status: NonExempt
All supplemental staff are required to participate in the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System (MPSERS) as required by state guidelines.
This position is responsible for preparing food items required for all banquet events, including breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special parties. This person follows recipes to prepare assigned food items for banquets and operates food production equipment using safe and sanitary food handling practices. Responsibilities include cleaning banquet preparation and serving equipment, work stations, and the kitchen. This individual must be a team player, and be able to work well with the culinary and hospitality team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
No prior experience or training required
High school diploma or GED
Cooking experience may be preferred
WORK HOURS :
This is a part-time, temporary position which may require a flexible schedule. The Hagerty Center is open 7 days a week, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work hours may include any of these days and times. Shifts may vary according to employer needs and employee availability.
