As a member of the Infrastructure team, candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments, automation systems, and telecommunication solutions. Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment in the enterprise WAN & LAN environments.
Assist in the design and connectivity to network hosted applications. Interact closely with a variety of different level support organizations to plan, implement and provide network solutions. Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of unusual network events, and direct needed procedure or process changes in response.
Identify new technologies and alternative systems to enhance security, reliability or customer experience. Write scripts to assist with network management.
Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products and be able to explain these technologies to non-technical individuals.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum five years’ experience in Internet-related fields working in network and system administration. LAN/MAN/WAN design and administration including QOS, VLANs, TCP-IP and firewalls. Consulting experience desirable. Cisco certified CCNA/CCNP desirable.
