Position: Environmental Project/Senior Engineer Requisition Number: 2012-1354-01S&ME, Inc., a leading engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking an experienced Environmental Project/ Senior Engineer to join our Charlotte, North Carolina practice. We are seeking an experienced and qualified professional to provide environmental services to industrial clients as well as non-industrial clients. This position requires a demonstrated history showing strong technical, project management, client management, business development, and communication skills. The successful applicant should possess the following technical skills and experience: Corrective action plan preparation, pilot studies, remedial system design and installation for soil and ground water remediation at industrial facilities, risk based corrective action, RCRA, CERCLA (Federal and State), inactive hazardous waste sites, site assessment, sampling and analysis plans, closure, post closure care, methane migration assessment/control and capping systems for solid waste facilities, storm water permitting, pollution prevention plans, SPCC Plans, air permitting including modeling and emissions estimation, comprehensive site assessments and UST closure associated with petroleum sites, hazardous waste and waste stream identification and characterization. Understanding of and experience in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM E 1527-05 and client-specified procedures; Transaction Screen Process in accordance with ASTM E 1528; Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater assessment, design (including natural attenuation), installation and O&M of remediation systems. Project management and client management skills are required to successfully coordinate and implement complex, multi-disciplined projects on schedule and within budget while satisfying quality metrics. Business development skills to include the capability to bolster relationships with existing clients, seek new opportunities with existing clients, and seek opportunities to expand existing services to new clients. Responsibilities will also include leading and coordinating proposal efforts and mentoring junior staff.
