Are you looking to expand your computer skills? Would you like a chance to work for a fun and exciting organization? Montana Lottery is looking for a student intern to assist our computer department with our on-line games!
To qualify for the internship position, per MCA 2-18-101, the student must have been accepted in or is currently enrolled in an accredited school, college, or university. If you meet the requirements and want to join our team, send us your cover letter and resume . Typical work hours will be 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Additional hours of up to 5 hours per week are available during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Employment with the Montana Lottery is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation, section 23-7-306, Montana Codes Annotated. This investigation may continue into the time period after you have begun your employment. If the results of the investigation are, in the opinion of the Montana Lottery, not favorable, employment will not continue.

Criminal History Background Check
This position verifies game sales and winner procedures related to Lottery’s five on-line games. Responsibilities include:
Verify daily sales with those from our vendor;
Enter daily winning numbers for each of the five games to verify number of winners from each game;
Faxes winning numbers to designated media and voice mail systems;
- Works on special projects such as testing for new on-line games;
- May assist with network support based on need and ability of the successful candidate.
This position requires:
- Basic knowledge of computer science;
- Working knowledge of windows programs such as word and excel;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
This internship will most benefit students majoring in computer science or a related field although students in all areas of study are encouraged to apply.
