Accountability The Department of Social and Health Services' Division of Developmental Disabilities at Tacoma is currently recruiting for a Non-Permanent Secretary Senior. This position will work a full-time Shift (8:00am to 5:00pm) Monday through Friday.

This position provides secretarial services and clerical support to regional staff, supervisors, and case resource Managers. This position provides timely production of information regarding eligibility; closing of cases; preparation of administrative hearing documents and mailing of correspondence.

High School graduate or GED
Two years of progressively responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing. Desirable Skills and abilities
Keyboarding or typing accurately at a net speed of 50 words per minute or faster. ·
Ability to enter into databases. · Proofread materials and make corrections.
Ability to establish and maintain complex electronic and/ or manual data systems or database files. ·
Possess basic computer skills including use of E-mail, Word Processing, Excel, and the Internet. ·
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment. ·
Ability to professionally respond to inquiries from variety of sources, both internal and external. ·
Ability to identify and notify appropriate entities of dangerous or significantly dangerous situations for both clients and visitors. ·
Possess familiarity with government structure and operations of public agencies. ·
Ability to use extensive methods of information gathering through printed and electronic directories and data sources. Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity.
