They experienced a 60% growth last year and are on the same track this year. We are helping them recruit experienced Safety Engineers in Houston TX, Baton Rouge LA, Greenville SC, and Anchorage AK. Position Summary: Provide process safety consulting for oil and gas; chemical; petrochemical; pulp and paper; and pharmaceutical industries. Essential Duties: Provide process safety and risk management consulting services in management system development and implementation. Risk assessment and process hazard analysis, including HAZOP and LOPA studies. Support projects in specialized areas of PSM including procedure development, training course development, support of management of change implementation and compliance audits. Assists Safety Systems Team in development of safety instrumented system front end loading related deliverables.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years practical job specific experience and knowledge. PE, CSP, or CFSE certifications preferred. Experience in performing process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessment studies, including HAZOP, What-If, HAZID preferred. Knowledge of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) identification and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) preferred. Experience in quantitative risk assessment and facility siting analysis valued. Experience in developing, implementing or managing process safety/risk management programs (e.g. OSHA PSM, EPA RMP) a plus. Team management, consulting, project management and client development strongly desired. Experience working in industry as a process safety consultant or subject matter expert. Knowledge and capabilities in standard Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Job Requirements: Must be self-starter and capable of working on an individual basis and in a team environment. Able to prioritize workload and deliver quality results on time. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Compensation: Competitive pay with discretionary incentives and bonuses.
