We are currently recruiting for an Buyer/Planner II in our North Bend office. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position provides support for the purchase of product for Agrium.
The buyer/planner position is an integral part of the procurement and maintenance functions at North
Bend. The position develops purchase requisitions, approval of work requests, planning of daily/weekly maintenance activities and ensuring needed
parts and/or materials are readily available and/or can be obtained quickly. The position also obtains quotes for process equipment and is responsible
for planning shutdown activities approximately once per quarter. The position is the direct contact with outside contractors to identify and address
all needed materials and project clarification prior to shutdowns and/or projects. Responsible for managing outside contractors in compliance with
Agrium’s IS Networld system and managing the contractor exception process. The position is the primary contact for all plant purchases and
is responsible for ensuring North Bend supports Agrium’s corporate procurement goals.
Purchasing of goods, materials, supplies and services
Manage all contracts, vendors and negotiations
Determine corrective action plan for repair or planned maintenance
Ensure clean and organized warehouse
Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study
5 years Buying and planning experience
Prior SAP experience is a big plus
Warehouse inventory management experience
