Under the supervision of the OIG Executive Staff Assistant-Supervisor, this position represents the Office of the Inspector General by coordinating responses to complaints that come to OIG from the fraud hotline or from the portal for reporting public assistance fraud or abuse of a DHS program. The Complaint Coordinator researches each complaint to determine if further investigation is warranted and if referral to management is necessary. This position gathers data and prepares routine and ad hoc management reports on fraud/abuse complaints received through the portal or hotline, and works closely with management to ensure that all complaints are adjudicated in an appropriate and timely manner.

Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed to this position may be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

The starting salary will be between $17.072 and $24.240 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 07-04. A 6-month probationary period is required. This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel; also desired is knowledge of public assistance databases and systems such as Business Objects, CARES, SURS Case Tracker, interchange, PRISM, and Project Workbook.
- Strong knowledge of databases and ability to use multiple databases to research issues.
- Ability to format and organize data and information from various sources in a meaningful manner.
