OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
Responsible for the start-up, management and on-going performance results of the loan origination branch in Tempe, AZ. Manage Branch Operations to accomplish business plan objectives for profitability, risk management, customer service, process efficiency, productivity, volume, and employee satisfaction.
Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and daily management of a high quality team of experienced professionals for the branch including: General Office, Sales, Underwriting, Closing, Funding, Shipping/Insuring, and Post Closing/Loan Delivery functions.
Ensures the originations branch is operating efficiently and within plan levels, while maintaining Green Tree’s customer service and loan quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and investor requirements in accordance with the established Green Tree policies and procedures; remain current on all Green Tree policies and compliance and ensure revisions are timely and communicated to impacted departments.
Responsible for maximizing profitability, productivity, reducing cost to produce loans, while adhering to loan quality standards.
Responsible for the implementation and management of Credit Risk Policy. Achieve the balance between risk management and production, implement credit policies and maintain acceptable levels of credit quality for the Branch.
Accountable for ensuring benchmarks, productivity standards, and service levels are delivered in all areas of responsibility.
Assign proper signature levels to Underwriters based on demonstrated ability and experience.
Develop, implement and define business process refinement strategies to increase loan quality and productivity. Manage underwriting, credit and closing process workflows, internal policies, forms, scripts, procedures, and training programs to achieve higher standards of performance.
Identify strategic opportunities to enhance system and process through utilization of technology.
Various duties, licensing and projects as required.
10-15 years experience in mortgage operations management
Experience in mortgage loan processing, underwriting, closing and funding in a high-paced loan origination environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Current experience and management of underwriting and closing of Agency and HUD programs.
Current experience with warehouse lending and investor settlements.
Current knowledge of multi-state residential mortgage lending regulations and requirements.
Working knowledge of loan origination software.
Excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
Complete understanding of residential mortgage origination process
Ability to manage multiple personnel, functions and tasks, large volumes, and meet daily goals and deadlines
Strong knowledge of mortgage operations, managing credit risk, and sales
Excellent computer skills with a focus on internet technology
