About This Division

The Materials Research Laboratory has a temporary position for a scientist with a strong background in:

--Production of nanoparticles of mixed oxides.
--Characterize cathode materials with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectroscopy
--High temperature materials and processes
--Chemical vapor deposition to produce coatings and nanopowders for Li ion battery
--Perform detailed experimental research works at high temperature
--Help to assemble Li ion testing cells with the developed cathode materials in glove box
--Help to test the assembled Li ion cells to evaluate the developed cathode materials for their specific energy density and charge-discharge cycle life

--MS in Materials Research (or equivalent degree), with 10-15 years in materials synthesis and battery research
--Must have a proven track record of procuring funding for research
--Must be a U.S. Citizen
