DESCRIPTION

A growing St. Louis based Batteries Plus franchise operation is searching for an experienced office manager and bookkeeper.

This position is part time, for approximately 25 - 30 hours per week.

Batteries Plus is on the cutting edge of the portable power segment of the energy industry. We sell a full line of batteries and light bulbs for literally every application. Even in this down economy our company is continuing to grow.

DUTIES

The duties include:
Balancing accounts, invoicing, vouchering, A/R processing and follow up, A/P processing, cash flow forecasting, various operational reporting, payroll entry, month end closing, sales tax filing, personal property tax filing, various reconciliation schedules, interfacing with CPA for tax preparation, analysis, research and troubleshooting, other duties as may be requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year prior accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Expert knowledge of PeachTree accounting software
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be process oriented,
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Office and capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology
  • Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to be persuasive and work collaboratively to get projects completed. Ability to accurately and clearly present new information to make presentations to groups of employees
  • Ability to work autonomously, and in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of a project and lead a project team to desired results. Strongly motivated with sense of urgency
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks; demonstrated ability to successfully meet project timelines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to calculate simple math, percents, ratios and algebraic expressions and read gauges
