Overview:

The Crane Program Manager oversees the business and operational aspects of assigned department. The successful candidate must possess the managerial and technical skills to perform the work assigned to the Department. Duties include supervising exempt and non-exempt personnel, providing oversight and guidance on technical and operational matters; managing costs, budget, and schedule; providing customer liaison, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and maintaining delivery of high quality work and services. Individual is responsible for:
• Timely and accurate submission of contract deliverables
• Managing the operations for all projects and services
• Partnering closely with Government Counterparts to meet the Company's commitment to excellence
• Handling staffing and personnel management duties and providing hands-on leadership, guidance and career growth opportunities to department personnel
• Developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures for Crane programs

Responsibilities:

Scope:

• ~ 40 crane operators, riggers, crane inspectors, heavy equipment mechanics, and administrative personnel
• Six CAT-1 mobile cranes (Grove and Linkbelt) from 40 – 100 tons
• Two CAT-4 boom trucks: 30-ton National, 3.4-ton IMT
• ~ 40 CAT-2/CAT-3 overhead cranes/ hoists
• ~ 80 pieces miscellaneous equipment
• ~ 260 pieces of rigging gear
• Program subject to NAVFAC P-307 and Navy Crane Center audits

Qualifications:

Required Skills: Must have:

• Fifteen (15) years experience working directly with heavy equipment and cranes, ten (l0) years in crane management and five (5) years direct experience working as a manager or supervisor within the government contracting or base operations support services work environment, preferably Navy
• Highly developed leadership, communications (written, oral and presentation), interpersonal, and managerial skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple/ competing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work in a team environment across all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage subordinates, projects, and workflow effectively
• Ability to maintain close, professional and service-oriented relationships with Government counterparts and customers
• Ability to interpret instructions and reports
• Knowledge of NAVFAC P-307 crane operations
• Navy Crane Center (NCC) certification
