Title: Director Commodities COE, CI & Innovation
a. Responsible for driving Globally procurement and risk management best practices and metrics through the Commodities organization.
b. Works as a peer to commodity category leadership who is responsible for over $6 billion in global commodities spend across such categories as coffee, cocoa, grains and oils, energy, sugar, and nuts.
c. Represents commodities sub function at Mondelēz Global procurement Center of Excellence (COE) table. Works closely with Global COE Leader
d. Manages regional continuous improvement leaders (4-5), who are charged with working with their Regional Leads to increase productivity in the commodities area.
a. Develop and drive programs to ensure continuous improvement and innovations in commodity productivity. Responsible for $ 100Mn innovation target for commodities innovation in 2013.
b. Execute, track and shepherd delivery against AC budget for global commodities organization productivity.
c. Work with Global category leaders to keep pipeline of continuous improvement activity.
d. Co-ordinate with R&D and procurement resources to prioritize and execute large, impactful projects with direct impact on the bottom line of the company.
e. Represent commodity team on global procurement PMO in order to drive sourcing best practices through commodities organization, which includes calibration on metrics, team member training, etc.
f. Monitoring and measurement of Global Commodities Key Performance Indicators and reporting of Breakthrough Metrics in areas of Innovation Leadership, Power of One, and Power of Performance.
g. Provide strategic planning guidance to commodity team, which includes long term road mapping around key initiative and metrics.
h. Assist VP Commodities with overall global commodities strategy coordination and tracking, along with other reporting needs required for Sr Management presentations, including global commodity position roll ups, strategic supplier partnerships etc.
i. Co-ordination for research finding supporting Global Commodities strategy to senior management
Internal: Procurement COE, regional leadership, and category leadership. R&D regional leadership. BU marketing leadership. Procurement and business unit finance leadership.
External: Key representatives of strategic suppliers, both business and technical related. Industry and commodity specific discipline benchmarking organizations.
Bachelor degree in business, engineering or related field required. MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years experience, preferably in agribusiness/food/consumer packaged goods. Background in strategic sourcing of commodities/raw materials and risk management preferred. Working experience of collaborating with R&D, Finance a plus, as well as strong project management skills and influence skills, preferably in a global matrix environment.
