The Department of Horticulture is currently seeking applicants for a Graphic Designer I to perform graphic design duties for the ISU Organic Agriculture Program. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining the Organic Agriculture and Alternative Agriculture webpages, locating content and creating content for web pages, designing flyers, postcards and brochures for the Iowa Organic Conference, and designing the program for the Iowa Organic Conference.
The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and interpersonal skills. Creative ability is needed to develop the materials for the program.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Design, or a related field and some related experience; OR a combination of related education and experience totaling more than four years.
Experience with web design software including Adobe Creative Suite, Dream Weaver, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Graphic design experience in the organic and alternative agriculture industry (i.e. collegiate or professional).
Minimum $30,622; commensurate with qualifications
All accrued vacation must be taken during the term of this appointment. Unused vacation will be forfeited upon resignation or termination from ISU.
