This resource will be responsible for the design and collaboration of portal applications through the following activities:
Serve as Architect and Developer for designing SharePoint enterprise
Work with customer as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints, and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation.
Work with customer to identify best-fit technical solutions for business unit needs.
Work with customer to review mission needs, define requirements, envision possible solution approaches, and to design, build, test, and deploy solution configurations on the SharePoint platform.
Assist business units in expressing their needs in terms that can be used to generate valid requirements.
Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer and stakeholder needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Assist with conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles.
Identify dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure.
Record lessons-learned, processes and procedures, and other pertinent quality topics in appropriate formats.
Work with project personnel to resolve schedule problems and ensure developed applications and systems are transitioned to customers in a timely manner.
Validate system elements and requirements.
Assess system designs to validate them against expected technical parameters.
Verify hardware and applications needed to complete the development process.
Ensure all products and administrative documentation is completed and maintained in order to ensure continuity and historical reference.
Ensure deliverables meet all relevant quality and security standards/documentation.
Required Skills and Experience :
BA, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related area and 6-year experience in business or Government environment.
6-10 years consulting and SharePoint experience in Developing and Architecture
6 yrs experience with, and advanced skills in, MS Word and PowerPoint
Current SharePoint Designer development experience.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to effectively understand and communicate orally, in writing, and interpersonally to various customers/audiences.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
MS SharePoint administration skills
Excellent collaborative and client-facing skills
Self-starter and able to lead project or task
Communicate externally as well as internally
Listening and understand other's needs and requirements
Preferred Skills and Additional Experience :
Prior DHS experience
Experience of government any financial services: budget, accounting, and reporting practices
Experience with budget analysis, execution and reporting
Excellent communicator with excellent presentation and relationship management skills
Clearance Requirements :
Ability to obtain DHS Suitability/Public Trust
Active DHS EOD preferred
