The BCS Infrastructure Operations team is looking for a talented individual to help drive the next generation of Office 365 dedicated infrastructure monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in Service Operations, System Center, Systems Administration, large System Center deployments, online services, and 24x7 high availability monitoring environments. Candidates should have a proven history of delivering stable and scalable solutions for these environments and be able to manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple teams. The right person will have demonstrated ability delivering in the operations space using box products and smart design that can scale reliably in the real world of Service Operations.

The role will be focused on driving and delivering solutions that meet the needs of our business requirements and provides our customers and partners with value added services. This role will guide the service monitoring business and future for the o365 dedicated environments. High level Accountabilities:
Drive vNext infrastructure monitoring solutions for the o365 dedicated environments.

Complete automation framework using Microsoft products creating a seamless change and release to production process.

Automate workflows and remediation within systems management infrastructure.

Drive short term solutions while keeping long term requirements in scope and be ready to converge on them when the business requirements exist.

Manage all projects using critical success factors and key indicators following PMI standards.

Define monitoring best practices using industry standards and ensure operations solutions are fit for use and meet the need for operations.

Balance priorities, requirements, and available resources to develop solutions that improve long term sustainability resulting in reduced cost of ownership.

Collaborate and understand BCS Infrastructure Operations roadmap and drive all team members in the proper direction based on goals and objectives measuring progress through-out.

Partner with service monitoring teams at Microsoft to align and guide the future of service monitoring at Microsoft.

Experience:
2+ years of solutions manager or project/program management

Proven capability to deliver on time and on budget for large complex projects requiring multiple work teams, cross group collaboration, and delivering on tight timelines

Ability to think critically and understand the dependencies in inner-connected systems

3-5 years of experience with Microsoft System Center Management tools in high availability environments

1-3 years of experience working with SQL systems with the ability to write and interpret complex SQL queries

1-2 years of demonstrated experience with PowerShell and/or C# scripting

Must be great at working with people

Must exhibit an extreme sense of customer service

Must be a self-starter, manage time well, and have a strong sense of accountability

Must have passion for solving operational and business problems using technology

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus

ITIL/MOF certification and practical application in Service Operations a plus

Candidates must be able to meet all federal government security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Federal security screening requirements call for applicant to verify U.S. Citizenship. Additional customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting, as well as the ability to obtain a government personnel security clearance. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every two years thereafter.
