Develops lay-up and set-up techniques for the fabrication of composite structures and assemblies. Sets up and troubleshoots composite parts for assembly or lay-up. Assembles or lays up parts and components. Identify nonconforming detail parts, assemblies and processes. Work with support groups to improve manufacturing processes.
Follows up with Production Control to ensure that resources are available. Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and nonconformances. Check units for compliance using hand held precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and scales. Assembles and repairs simple to complex composite parts and components within quality and time standards
May provide technical leadership, including the troubleshooting of fabrication problems and recommend solutions.
Must support teaming utilizing Employee Involvement (EI).
Must work with support organizations.
Reads and interprets drawings and planning.
Understands process specifications, tooling, bill of materials and sequence of operations
Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have experience with pre or post cured composites used in the fabrication and/or processing of aerospace parts?
Are you willing to work any shift as assigned?
Must have High School Diploma or GED.
Must have recent experience in composite fabrication using prepreg materials on small and large complex contoured molds.
