Under the direction of the Manager IT Applications, this p
position can take a lead role in the continuing deployment and development of vendor proprietary hospital application software (multiple application systems including Tier 1 EMR and/or ERP applications) necessary to run clinical or financial systems within a large integrated hospital system.
This position can take a lead role in the analysis of existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality to determine if the software conforms with current clinical health system workflow processes.
The position utilizes specialized, proprietary software tool sets to enable software functionality; often takes a lead role within project teams to achieve team goals and outcomes; demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with independent judgment; provides measurable customer service, and performs duties within MIHS missions and values.

mentoring, developing junior analysts and educates others on best practices.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Must have a minimum of six (6) years experience with clinical or financial hospital applications software support and one (1) year of progressive responsibility in workflow process improvement, including multiple software implementations or process reengineering.
Certification in multiple Epic applications will substitute up to two (2) years of required experience.
Certification in multiple clinical or financial applications is required and must be kept up to date with application/system installed.
In addition, if certification is substituting for years of experience then must have and keep up to date certifications in two or more Epic Applications.
Must maintain more than one application/system knowledge and certifications to be effective in position. Knowledge of analytical methods, procedures, and practices, to include software.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation. Must possess solid analytical skills that can translate the analysis into effective troubleshooting and problem resolution, frequently exercising independent technical judgment. Must possess and demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills.
