As a Senior Program Research Specialist , you will develop, in partnership with the senior director, and implement the WVUS research and evaluation agenda to enhance the understanding and communication of World Vision's program effectiveness to various stakeholders including: senior leadership, internal teams, external organizations, as well as, current and potential donors. In addition, you will establish, prioritize, and manage primary research methods and evaluation tools that demonstrates program effectiveness trends and issues and that provides program insight and guides decision making. You will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, strategies and personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
It is anticipated that this position will be needed for up to three years.

Research and Technical Leadership:
Stay up to date on latest trends and innovations in monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, and data visuals to ensure quality delivery of information to WVUS stakeholders. Recommend and implement revisions to World Visions practices as appropriate.
Plan and develop research methods and standards for baselines, outcome monitoring and evaluations that contribute towards providing evidence of WV's effectiveness and contributions to Child Well-being.
Provide guidance to PEI teams on managing ADP transitions.
Persuade and influence Global Center and WVI teams regarding research priorities and suggested methodolgies.
Perform and provide capacity building for primary research, data collection, analysis, and interpretation through baselines, outcome monitoring, and evaluations.
Synthesize and summarize trends in ADP evaluations in collaboration with Global Centre Knowledge Management and other Support Offices.
Develop primary research through drafting narrative reports, data analytics, and situation analysis for key research projects.
Provide meaningful data summaries and visualization to both IPG and fundraising teams to enhance understanding of WV's programs and to demonstrate results to existing and potential donors.
Produce portfolio and trend analysis of ADP programs and national portfolios.
Share lessons learned with WVUS, WVI, and external stakeholders through reports, data summaries, and info graphics.
Identify and disseminate DME best practices across IPG units and other WVUS departments.
Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
Master's degree in International Development or a related field, with a doctorate in Research Methods or related field preferred. At least five years of international program work experience with some field experience, with at least four years work experience in social science evaluation and research methods. Experience working within World Vision's ADP programming and LEAP Design Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) framework, preferred. Experience developing academic coalitions for research preferred.
