The Technical Writer is responsible for maintaining and updating training program materials and supports business needs by ensuring consistent and accurate information in our training materials and programs.
Key Responsibilities
Assists instructional designers in writing and formatting of training programs.
Assists instructional designers with the development of job aids, charts, and other training collateral.
Maintains core training programs by keeping content of existing programs current and up to date.
Assists with the documentation of procedures for new training modules.
Maintains and updates manuals, training packets and other training materials.
Develops brief guide sheets for promotions, contests and programs.
Monitors and maintains inventory levels of on-shelf programs.
Interviews Subject Matter Experts to assist with the documentation of procedures for new training modules.
Compiles information from project managers, food lab technicians, vendors and other internal and external sources as needed in the development of service manuals and related reference materials.
Coordinates cross-functional review and approval for all training documents.
Supports instructional design projects by coordinating print requirements and specifications with print vendors.
Performs other responsibilities as needed.
Follows company policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe
Minimum 4-6 years business writing experience; experience writing adult training materials desired
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent writing and document layout capabilities
Excellent proofreading skills
