The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Risk Information Analyst II in Raleigh, NC. Work closely with a wide array of business units, including: Retail, Wholesale, Securitization as well as the IT department. Daily interactions will include Modeling Analysts, Developers, Program Managers, Project Managers, Lines of Business, IT Consultants, etc. Specific duties include: (i) source, extract, transform and calibrate all data pertinent to the assignment of economic capital assuring that all controls and validations are performed and documented as per Basel II and other regulatory requirements; (ii) support development of new Economic Capital (EC) modeling used day-to-day by the business lines of Consumer and Business Banking; (iii) analyze findings stemming out of economic capital production and provide guidance and empirical assumptions for report acceptance; (iv) architecting a data solution for Basel II modeling based on the Pillar II Repository and ECAR reporting system. This includes mapping disparate data sets into a unified modeling environment; (v) participate as an active member of the Risk Management team with frequent interactions at the senior executive level; (vi) understanding business strategy of a specific line of business, and for the planning, direction and delivery of enterprise information capabilities that directly support the business strategy; (vii) direct accountability for strategic planning of data requirements necessary to accomplish business strategy, specific IT projects and quality delivery of enterprise data for a specific LOB. This includes the entire life cycle of Risk Management modeling needs from requirements, analysis, development, design and implementation. Travel required once per quarter to Cleveland or Pittsburgh for departmental meetings.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS (or foreign equivalent) plus 7 years of experience as a Data/Applications Architect, Developer or Product/Data/Risk Analyst. At least 5 of the required 7 years of experience must be in the banking industry with exposure to: Banking IS Audit or Banking Operations, or Banking Risk Information Systems, and Regulatory Reporting. Experience must include: (i) Basel II (Pillar I and Pillar II) regulatory compliance knowledge as a primary focus; (ii) advanced IT experience in mainframe, mid-range, client-server, desktop and communications technologies, SAS, SQL and Microsoft Access; (iii) impact analysis and business case development; (iv) project management principles (planning, organizing, leading and controlling) and practical application; and (v) finding efficiencies and system automation. Must have knowledge of Economic Capital in a production environment with a base understanding of Regulatory Capital and RWA; and credit risk management.
