The Town of Scarborough is seeking a full-time Webmaster & SharePoint Administrator within the Information Technology (IT) Department. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of the SharePoint intranet portal, the Town and School websites, and other collaborative tools within the organization. He or she must be able to work autonomously in an energetic and fast-paced environment. Duties include working directly with departments and individuals to develop requirements for both the intranet and website functionality. Responsibilities also include designing, building, and maintaining SharePoint portal and websites, including interface/integration with third party solutions and enterprise systems, InfoPath forms, Google Apps, SharePoint Reporting Services, and Business Connectivity Services. Work also includes coordinating delivery of content across multiple platforms and devices, train-the-trainer on use of content management systems and end-user reporting and monitoring, managing site and channel performance issues, and acting as liaison between the Town and hosting or other vendor companies.
Position requirements: At least three years of experience working with a SharePoint platform. At least five years of experience with technical, hands-on website development and maintenance. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in public speaking and training. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in a team-based development environment. Excellent technical creativity and problem solving skills. Some SQL database knowledge preferred. Some experience with Google Apps preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered at the Town’s discretion.
