We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented
individual with an interest in health care. Your role as
a Managed Care Specialist will be to provide
comprehensive managed care information related to
Hawai‘i Pacific Health’s contracted health plans. You
will serve as Customer Service Representative for all
internal and external customers, facilitate health care
services by verbal, written, or data entry
communication, and be responsible for screening and
processing detailed department reports.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is Hawai‘i’s largest health care
system including a network of four hospitals, 44
outpatient clinics & service sites, and over 1,300
dedicated physicians across the state. We are 5,400+
caring employees strongly committed to health care
excellence. Our facilities include: Kapi‘olani Medical
Center for Women and Children, Pali Momi Medical Center,
Straub Clinic and Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree with related
experience or an equivalent combination of education,
training, and/or related work experience. Customer
service and managed care experience. Experience with
Preferred: Two years in managed care. Five years in
customer service. Proficient in Windows Operating
Systems, MS Office Applications. Familiarity with basic
medical terminology and CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS codes.
