Job Summary:
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates recruitment strategies and activities to provide adequate staffing for departments and subsidiaries of Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.

Collaborates with internal employees, directors, community agencies and various resources to promote health careers and hire qualified applicants to fill vacancies.

Assists with employee training, development, and orientation.

The work of this individual will continuously reflect the Mission and Core Values of Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.

Essential Duties:
1.

Plans, develops, implements and evaluates recruitment strategies and activities in consultation with directors, special teams and/or executive leadership.

2.

Creates and monitors job postings according to procedure.

3.

Reviews and screens all applications to active job postings according to procedure.

4.

Forwards all qualified applicants to appropriate department representative according to procedure.

5.

Makes hire offer to selected candidate, completing all necessary hiring and paperwork requirements according to procedure.

6.

Facilitates and monitors new hire’s progress through the hiring process.

7.

Facilitates and monitors the Hiring Manager’s data entry to ensure the new hire is entered appropriately into the system.

8.

Notifies non-selected candidates of their status (sends “no thank you”).

9.

Conducts reference checks on potential employees.

10.

Promotes health careers through marketing activities including career fairs and school and community presentations.

11.

Builds network of professional contacts.

12.

Coordinate pre- and post-employment functions and activities.

Position Qualifications

Education:
1.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Will consider equivalent years of experience in lieu of formal education.

Licensure/Certification:
1.

Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license and a driving record compatible with the requirements of SERMC.

Experience/Pre-Requisites:
1.

Two years of experience in the medical field, hospital clinical experience preferred.

2.

Computer ability required, Microsoft Office, in particular, the use of Word and able to do own word processing.

Ability to develop and use Excel spreadsheets preferred.

3.

Excellent communication skills are required because of the constant communication both oral and written with management, associates, applicants, and the general public.

4.

Must be able to assess and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy.

5.

Interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate and project a personal and professional demeanor to all guests, visitors and employees.

6.

Previous knowledge of employment laws preferred.

7.

Public speaking experience preferred.

8.

Broad knowledge of all aspects of human resource administration.

Comprehensive knowledge of government regulations.

9.

Must possess basic mathematical skills in order to compute and prepare the various reports, including the detailed position listing to ensure compliance.
