About the Position
We are recruiting a motivated self‐starter with a demonstrated interest in the transit sector to join a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team. We seek a problem solver with strong quantitative and analytical skills, the ability to master new concepts quickly, industry knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail to deliver high-quality work.
Based in Washington, DC, you will work as part of a national team that advises public and private sector clients on major capital projects and a variety of infrastructure management and policy issues. This position will entail tasks such as quantitative financial and economic analysis, developing the business case for large infrastructure investments, developing or interpreting travel demand and economic forecasts, analyzing funding and financing opportunities, and developing or interpreting agency operating and capital programs. The position offers great opportunities for professional growth; you will be frequently involved in client interactions as well as the identification and application of industry best practice on large, highly visible projects across the United States.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Parsons Brinckerhoff is an EOE, M/F/D/V.
- Mandatory Bachelors degree with a major in transportation planning, economics, business or finance, management, civil engineering, or related field.
- Highly desired advanced degree in transportation planning, economics, business, public-sector management/administration, systems engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in the transit industry; consulting is a plus.
- Excellent quantitative skills, including knowledge of forecasting techniques.
- Strong research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have legal authorization to immediately work in the United States.
