BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field. Some post graduate education is preferred.
This position will supports system integration and software development projects for Department of Defense aircraft defensive system improvement programs. Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing. Manages reports of system deficiencies. Creates and investigates software change requests. Develops innovative solutions to meet system requirements. Uses system specifications and interface descriptions for integration into an aircraft system of systems.
Ensures that technical work is performed to appropriate professional standards and that technical requirements are met. Manages and documents system configurations,serves as a subject matter expert for system architectural framework, methods and tools. Analyzes flight and simulator data to determine if system requirements are being met.
Experience in software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development, strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities,works well individually or in a group setting,ability to work under pressure and time constraints, and successfully presents technical information
Experience using scripting languages for data analysis (Perl or Ruby or VBS); experience with 1553 data bus and avionics systems Link 16, SADL, TADL;experience with configuration management and requirements management systems such as DOORS, MKS and ClearCase is preferred and effectively directs small teams of employees as a task leader.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain an clearance.
