      Regular Full-time, Paygrade 41, Salary DOE&Q

      The College of Veterinary Medicine’s Hospital Operations is seeking to hire an IT Administrator III whose primary job responsibility is the development, testing, administration, and support of the UT Veterinary Medical Center’s (UTVMC) Hospital Computer System (HCS) software and its associated systems.

      The VMC’s Hospital Computer System is an integrated hospital information management system servicing the clinical, administrative, teaching, and research functions of the UT Veterinary Medical Center. The HCS is a copy of the Department of Veteran Affair’s VISTA system which includes CPRS.

      Qualifications
      Education :

      Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or four or more years of equivalent experience.

      Experience :

      Position requires a minimum of three years programming experience in Mumps and/or Intersystems Cache.
      Some experience with the Department of Veteran's Affairs File Manager and/or VISTA system is preferred.
      Experience with Windows development graphical programming or dynamic web page programming is preferred.
      Experience working in a healthcare related information technology position preferred.

      Job Skills :

      Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work well in a team environment with end users, application developers, technical support staff and other units is required.
      Windows graphical programming skills using languages such as Borland Delphi, Visual Basic, .NET, C#, or other modern programming language is desired.
      Dynamic web page programming skills with knowledge of HTML, CSS, ASP.NET pages, CSP Pages, SQL, Java Script, or other web tools is desired.
      Position requires strong written and oral communication skills.
      The willingness is to learn new technical skills is required.
