Main Purpose of the Role
To provide administrative support for one the IT Department within Virgin America.

  • Draft correspondence, email, prepare presentations
  • Provide general support for Department team members
  • Manage appointment calendar and coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Arrange meetings, set-up conference calls and book travel arrangements
  • Provide general office and clerical support for assigned department
  • Act as liaison with other departments to provide assistance with miscellaneous requests
  • Work closely and cooperatively within all team members
  • Perform and prioritize other assignments and projects to support team
  • Perform additional assignments and projects as required
Professional and Personal Requirements/Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products and related business applications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives, or equivalent
  • Must have a strong work ethic, with the ability to prioritize a wide variety of responsibilities, problem-solve, and work independently
  • Exceptional resourcefulness and proactive
  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Genuine interest and desire to improve current business processes
  • Committed to displaying professionalism in all internal and external endeavors
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to successfully partner with individuals from other departments in order to achieve desired results
  • Provide administrative support (typing, editing, and filings) for General Counsel on any/all legal matters related to corporate governance, shareholder activities, governmental filings, contracts and licensing, employment, trademark, and regulatory responses
  • Prior experience in the airline, travel, or transportation industries
  • Prior experience working for IT or other technology department
