EMD Millipore, a leader in providing products and services
to the biopharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Product Manager
for its Single-use Fill Finish product line. We are seeking an
experienced, highly-motivated and talented individual to play a
leadership role in a dynamic team and customer-oriented
environment in this rapidly growing franchise. The position is
based at our worldwide headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts in
the USA, or alternatively at our European headquarter in
Molsheim, France.

their product line. Product Managers at EMD Millipore work
directly with customers and industry thought leaders to assess
the process and technology needs of the marketplace and the
underlying assumptions that are broadly held. As the Group
Product Manager, you will work at all levels of the organization,
and must be very familiar with the needs of senior management.

Duties & responsibilities:
Responsibilities, as a product line owner, include worldwide
development and management of our newly created Mobius Single-use
Fill Finish solutions, in our Process Solutions business unit,
with a focus on establishing market needs, exploring new
opportunities and launching & positioning novel single-use
processing systems. Examples include processing solutions for
sterile fluid transfer/filling, etc. This position serves as
primary interface, requiring a high degree of interaction, with
R&D, Design & Engineering Group, other Product Managers,
Marketing Communications, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing,
Field Operations and external partners.

Duties include

o coordinating in-depth market research to develop
market needs for single-use processing systems

o translating market needs to market-ready
solutions

o developing financial analyses to justify new product
development

o leading and working with Product Development
Teams

o competitive analysis

o development of, with Marketing Communications,
strong positioning collateral, applications, marketing and
advertising programs

o providing primary input to the strategic planning
process regarding new ideas and potential candidates for M&A
activities

o proactively practicing and applying life cycle
management and managing end of life processes

This role requires managing complex product development
processes with multiple and complex interacting elements in order
to launch complete processing solutions. You will be fully
responsible for the new product development plans, positioning in
the marketplace and the launch process. You will define new
marketing strategies to optimize new product launches and will
introduce new products, applications and validation services into
the market with all information and tools necessary to warrant a
quick penetration and successful commercialization in line with
strategic and financial objectives. In addition, you will
provide guidance to your team of product managers with respect to
overall business strategy, product positioning within the larger
single-use franchise, pricing, etc.

You will represent the business in appropriate professional
associations, societies and groups in both national and
international settings. The Product Manager conducts workshops,
seminars, and presentations at professional conferences and
tradeshows in support of product introductions and sales
opportunities. The Product Manager will also be a subject matter
expert in his/her area of responsibility.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, energetic,
strategic thinking, and results oriented with a Bachelors Degree in
a technical field (MBA preferred), and 7+ years Product
Management/Sales experience. You must have knowledge of and
experience in sales and marketing to the biopharmaceutical market.
You must be experienced and effective in working across boundaries
and functions, and experienced in product launch activities with
the ability to analyze and define markets. This position requires
excellent communication skills, verbal and written, excellent
organization and project management skills, and excellent
interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively
internationally. Experience in the bioprocessing industry and
single-use manufacturing is highly desirable.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Knowledge of FDA Regulatory Issues for the Pharmaceutical and
Biologics, specifically cGMPs, CFRs, is preferred. Experience in
